Set homework for a class or one pupil
Task guide · Reviewed 1 November 2026 · TaleemLink product & support team
A class task and an individual home assignment have different audiences. Review the audience before publishing.
Step by step
- Open Homework in the teacher workspace if it is enabled for your account.
- Choose the assigned class. Decide whether the assignment is for the whole class or one pupil.
- For an individual task, select the intended pupil from that class and check the name again.
- Enter a clear title, instructions and due date. English and Urdu content are supported in applicable text fields; keep wording appropriate for families.
- Save a draft if you are not ready to share. Publishing is different from saving privately.
- Before publishing, verify the named audience. A whole-class task is intended for linked families in that class; an individual task is intended only for the selected pupil’s linked family.
- After saving or publishing, check the confirmation and task list. If an error appears, check for a saved task before submitting again.
Expected outcome
The task has the intended class or pupil audience, with a clear due date.
Availability & important notes
This workflow is demonstrated today. The production homework module is not yet released. Attachment handling, pupil submission and completion tracking are not available merely because homework can be previewed.
